I was born in the dark days of post-war rationing and I grew up in the shade of the Cutty Sark, near Greenwich, London, with long holidays spent in France.
After university and a spell working for the UK Government, my first serious job was back in France with a French computer company. Since then I have spent a lot of time with and around software of all kinds.
On the way I got married and now have five grown-up children. I also moved from internet to mobile technologies. I currently divide my time between the United Kingdom and Finland.
I am interested in new technologies, words, literature, film, gardening, food and wine.
