I
Like cats so I must be basically OK. Dogs aren't bad either.
I'm a London Boy - I was born in Hampstead and grew up in London, the
Essex countryside, and in France.
After
university, a brush with the music industry, and a spell working as a
high-flier for the UK Government, my first experience of business was
back in France with a French computer company. Since then I have
spent a lot of time with and around hardware and software of all
kinds, a lot of it in France, but also in the UK and Scandinavia. I
moved from the early days with Cobol to the Internet and on to
mobile, and my last "computer" job was in Finland. I still
do some consulting in the mobile industry.
On
the way I got married and now have five grown-up children (and four
grandchildren).
I
am passionately interested in all kinds of music, literature, film,
gardening, food and wine - and of course new technologies.
If
people want to chase foxes on horseback that's fine with me, but all
food animals should be killed and eaten with respect.
I
may be a bit Green but please don't talk to me about wind farms...
